Answer of some question arises about Migration of 2G postpald to 3G post paid
1. Q.
Whether any charges are to be levied for migration from 2G post paid to 3G postpaid services?
ANS
Yes. Regarding migration from 2G post paid to 3G post paid, Rs.110 may be charged in the bill.
This is subiect to technical feasibility.
2. Q.
If migrating subscriber insists for
USIM (because of memory difference)
then how much charges are
to be
levied ?
ANS
When the customer is paying Rs.110 for migration to 3G postpaid, no additional charge to be levied for USIM.
3. Q.
In case of replacement of USIM due
to customer reason or technical reason,
how much charges are to be levied ?
ANS
In case of replacement of USIM is due to technical reason beyond the control of customer, no charge
is to be levied. However, if the replacement of USIM is due to customer negligence RS.110 may be
charged to the customer.
4. Q.
If subscriber needs 3G services
without USIM, what shall be the
activation charges and SIM cost ?
ANS
Since, the amount charged for migration is not wholly towards the cost of SIM but for the upgradation of the service from 2G to 3G, Rs.110 will be charged irrespective of whether the customer takes USIM or continues with the old SIM
Incoming video call facility may be activated for all 2G customers, free of cost, initially for a
promotional
period of 3 months after which the facility will be reviewed.
Top-up with zero validity applicable to 2G
service may also be allowed under 3G services.
Note
1. 2G prepaid customers under General Prepaid plan can migrate to 3G Prepaid through a migration voucher of Rs. 151/- (inclusive of Service Tax) with existing 2G-SIM and without any change of number, subject to technical feasibility.
2. Older 2G prepaid customers (older than General Prepaid Plan) can first migrate to 2G General Prepaid plan with ‘zero voucher’ and can finally migrate to 3G through the migration voucher of Rs. 151/- (inclusive of Service Tax) with existing 2G-SIM, subject to technical feasibility.
3. After the migration to 3G prepaid, the tariff applicable shall be as per Super-350 Plan till he migrates to higher plans
4. Activation of Video Calling facility to 2G customers is to be done immediately on their migration to 3G.

Notes:
- For migration from a particular 3G plan to other 3G plan under prepaid service, the activation voucher of the desired plan shall be used for migration.
- For all the Data plans, the above mentioned Voice and SMS charges would be levied.
- Free SMS shall be provided for local SMS only.
- BSNL Portal browsing will be free to customers
- The pulse rate for data usage shall be of 1 MB under all post/prepaid plans.
- On-net means Own Network (Mobile/Basic/WLL/CDMA), Off-net means Other Network (Mobile/Basic/WLL/CDMA)
- ISD tariffs for Voice calls will be as per 2G GSM.
- ISD Video calls are not available at present.
- The above Voice plans are applicable to both 2G and 3G customers, as no specific 3G voice tariff is possible at present.
- The rates for all other items not covered above shall be as per 2G tariff.
- Existing Top-up vouchers and flexi top-up shall be allowed to the 3G voice and data prepaid plan also.
- The grace period GP1 and GP 2 for voice and data plans shall be as per prepaid 2G GSM.
