Security Deposit for a ISD connection is Rs. 3000/-, for a STD connection is Rs. 2000/- and for a local connection is Rs. 1000/-. Security deposit is exempted for local / STD connection from the following : Existing BSNL Land line subscribers upon request (conditions apply) Central / State Government & Central PSUs & their employees Corporate Customers (minimum 5 connections in corporate name) Bank employees( who give ECS mandate from their own bank) and BSNL employees. What are the conditions for existing BSNL subscriber to be exempted from paying Security Deposit? He has to fill up a mandate form to allow existing deposit of fixed phone towards outstanding of the cellphone. The cellphone is to be applied in the same name as fixed phone. Category of cellphone remains same as fixed phone incase the existing deposit is less than Rs. 1000 / 2000, the balance amount is to be deposited.
